U.S. Ambassador to Portugal, Robert Sherman, visited the Faculty of Letters at the University of Porto (FLUP) for a conference on “The Importance and Power of Innovation and the Entrepreneurial Spirit.” This conference was part of the American Corner, a partnership established between the U.S. Embassy and FLUP that provides free access to an extensive list of databases to the academic community at the University of Porto at the FLUP Central Library and is responsible for many innovative programs throughout the year.
After the conference, the Ambassador participated in the re-inauguration of the American Corner’s new facilities, along with the opening of an exhibition “Congratulations, Mr. Clemens! On the 180th birthday of Mark Twain,” also at the FLUP Central Library.
