U.S. Ambassador to Portugal, Robert Sherman, paid a first visit to the port of Sines on October 15. Received by Eduardo Bandeira, Director of Sines port authority, the Ambassador was briefed about the characteristics and potential of the port of Sines platform to welcome new American investors, as well as the direct channels that link every week the Sines Container Terminal (Terminal XXI) to major U.S. ports through three regular services.
The visit concluded with a stop at Petrogal refinery, the industrial unit which produces the gasoline exported to the U.S. market using the Port of Sines.
