On February 10, Deputy Assistant Secretary for European Affairs Julieta Noyes visited the American Corner – Digital Innovation Center at NOVA University’s Faculty of Science and Technology and was briefed on the project of the new Fab Lab which will have the support of the American Embassy in Lisbon. Ms. Noyes met with Dean Prof. Fernando Santana and other Faculty members. AC@FCT-NOVA received the Tier-1 status designation from the Department of State.

Julieta Noyes also participated in a roundtable with Connect to Success participants. The occasion allowed her to meet with Connect to Success corporate and university partners, as well as participating women owned businesses (WOBs). Ambassador Robert Sherman as well as other Embassy Lisbon representatives attended this event, an opportunity to debate entrepreneurship in Portugal.
