Embassy Lisbon commemorated Women’s Entrepreneurship Day with an event promoted through Connect to Success, the program launched by the U.S. Embassy in 2014 to strengthen women-owned businesses and promote gender equality in the corporate world. The event was co-hosted by the Luso-American Foundation and Doubletree by Hilton.

Cristina Ferreira was the special guest at this event. Aside from being a renowned television presenter, Ms. Ferreira has achieved remarkable success as an entrepreneur. Embaixatriz Kim Sawyer, a successful entrepreneur herself, engaged in a conversation with Ms. Ferreira on her experience as an entrepreneur and the challenges in creating successful business ventures. Ambassador Robert Sherman delivered a speech about entrepreneurship and Connect to Success.
