
Ambassador Robert Sherman attended, on February 5, the inauguration of the exhibition “Sonnabend Paris – New York” at the Arpad-Szenes Vieira da Silva museum, which this year celebrates its 20th anniversary. On display until May 3 will be works by American post-war artists like Andy Warhol, Jasper Jones, Robert Rauschenberg, or Roy Lichtenstein , and others.
The New York Sonnabend Art Gallery is currently jointly-owned by Portuguese citizen António Homem, the curator of this exhibition in Lisbon. Minister Paulo Portas and the First Lady Maria Cavaco Silva were in attendance as well.
