The inaugural session of the “Bridging the Atlantic” project was held at the University of the Azores, under the theme of “Health Care in the United States: the healthcare system and the role of community health”. Guest speaker was Dartmouth faculty teacher, Maryellen Brisbois. Participated in the session Azorean Regional Government officials as well as the US Consul at Ponta Delgada, Daniel Bazan.

“Bridging the Atlantic” is an international alliance in community health among American and Azorean nursing students that involves a partnership between the University of the Azores and University of Massachussetts Dartmouth and the US Embassy.
