The U.S. Embassy has invited former NASA Astronaut Daniel Tani to visit Portugal between July 6 and 10 for a series of presentations on “Living in Space.”
As an astronaut, Daniel Tani made two space flights, staying in space for a total of 131 days, and completing five spacewalks totaling nearly 35 hours. Presently, Mr. Tani is Vice President of Mission and Cargo Operations, at the NASA Advanced Program Group, located in Dulles, Virginia, in the United States.
In the greater Lisbon area, Daniel Tani will visit the NOVA University Faculty of Science and Technology, as well as the IST University,
The visit also includes presentations at the DARK SKY Reserve Alqueva, Aveiro University, University of Porto Faculty of Sciences, and the Braga planetarium.
