This year, for Pride Month, the Embassy of the United States of America in Portugal remained committed to promoting the diversity and equality that it continues to uphold throughout the year.
The month began with the hoisting of the Pride flag at the Embassy, an act that was done once more at the end of the month to close the celebrations, all of them visible on our social networks.

he rights of the LGBTQ+ community, and about the movement as a whole.

Furthermore, to encourage the Portuguese community regarding the LGBTQ+ rights that must be respected and celebrated, we spoke with the association AMPLOS (Association of Mothers and Fathers for Freedom of Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity) about the movement, as well as the importance that family support has for the members of the community.
