The Office of Public Affairs in Lisbon participated in the 28th annual conference by holding a workshop on “Become the Beemaster: Organizing your own English spelling bees.” During this session, in addition to demonstrating a mock spelling bee for participating teachers, participants learned how to prepare, plan and host a spelling bee event at their school, learn how to take part in upcoming regional events organized by APPI/U.S. Embassy and troubleshoot the issues that come up when planning such events.
