Colquímica Adhesives
At the beginning of our trip to the North of Portugal, the first stop was made in Valongo, where we had the opportunity to visit Colquímica Adhesives. We were given the guided tour through this innovative Portuguese company that since 2020 has also had a presence in the USA.
As nations unite in the global fight against COVID-19, we welcome this dynamic company that is collaborating with the American company 3M to face the pandemic, #SideBySide.
Thank you again to Pedro and Sofia Koehler, CEO and Vice President, for welcoming us and showing us the innovative work they are doing! We congratulate you on the solutions you are creating and the commitment and professionalism behind each one.

American Corners – Faculty of Arts and Humanities of University of Porto
We also visited the American Corner at FLUP, where students can’t study and research, as well as just relax.
It was here that we talked with Professor Paula Pinto Costa, member of the Executive Board of FLUP, and Isabel Leite, librarian and coordinator of the FLUP’s American Corner.

Holocaust Museum
On the second day, we visited the Holocaust Museum, tutored by members of the Jewish Community of Porto, whose family members were victims of the Holocaust.
We are grateful for all the information that was provided to us by Michael Rothewell, Dr. Marilyn Flitterman, and curator Dr. Hugo Vaz. We recommend visiting this museum – which is also a memorial – that marks a form of liquidation unprecedented in the history of mankind.

4th International Art Biennial Gaia 2021
The last point of interest visited was the 4th Biennial Arte Gaia, which, as they communicate, joins art and causes.
We walked through the 2021 edition in the company of artists and curators, and we hope that everyone will also have the opportunity to visit this free entry event that celebrates the creativity and power of expression of several Portuguese artists.

Overall, it was an enriching experience and we thank everyone who accompanied us, in person and digitally.
