If you would like to get your passport back in the Azores and/or Madeira Islands and if you qualify to waive your in-person appearance for a visa interview, please submit your complete package by registered post to the address provided below.

Use the local Post Office CTT to purchase and complete:

  • A pre-paid “Correio Verde” envelope (no other envelope is accepted);
  • The size of the envelope must fit the size and number of the documents to be returned. For example, a package with multiple passports, such as a family, must provide an envelope large enough to return all documents and passports;
  • A complete registration form and stamps for 2.20€.

The envelope is pre-paid “Correio Verde”. However, the additional registration form and stamps are mandatory so that we may return your passport to you by registered mail. We will not mail your passport without these items.

Please note that you must pre-address the envelope with your name and address.

Mail your complete package, including the “Correio Verde” pre-paid, pre-addressed envelope, by registered post to:
